Should I use a Dog Crate? Are they a good idea?

This is a question we often get asked. It's usually because people associate Dog Crates as Cages. The first thing to remember with these Dog Crates is that they are a den for your Dog. A Safe haven for them, a bedroom and place to relax. They should never be used as a punishment or as a time out area. They are basically Dog Houses. Somewhere where they can feel safe and secure.
