PREDNISOLONE TABS 1MG

Prednisolone 1mg tablets are commonly prescribed for dogs to treat inflammation, allergies, and autoimmune conditions. They are a synthetic corticosteroid that mimics the effects of natural hormones produced by the adrenal glands.

Key Features

  • Active Ingredient: Prednisolone — a synthetic glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects

  • Low-Dose Precision: Ideal for small dogs, dose tapering, or long-term maintenance therapy

  • Primary Uses:

    • Treats inflammatory conditions like arthritis, colitis, and skin disorders

    • Manages autoimmune diseases such as IMHA, lupus, and pemphigus

    • Provides relief for allergic reactions, including flea allergy dermatitis and atopic dermatitis

  • Typical Dosage:

    • Often 0.5–2 mg/kg/day, adjusted based on severity and response

    • 1mg tablets allow fine-tuned dosing, especially for dogs under 5kg or those needing gradual tapering

  • Administration:

    • Oral tablet, usually given once or twice daily

LEGAL INFORMATION: this is a Veterinary Prescription Only Medicine (POM-V), which can only be prescribed by a veterinary surgeon, but another veterinary surgeon or pharmacist may dispense it.

We offer Free Delivery on all orders over £49.99 (Excluding Scotland & Northern Ireland). All orders under £49.99 will have a £5.99 delivery charge.

For orders to Scotland and Northern Ireland a delivery charge of £8.99 will be applied.

Orders placed before 11am Monday–Friday are usually delivered the same day or next day. Orders after 11am are not guaranteed to be delivered the same day(excluding weekends and bank holidays). We use Royal Mail, EVRI, Yodel and DPD Next Day services.
