UpCard 3 mg is a veterinary prescription medication used in dogs for the treatment of clinical signs associated with congestive heart failure, such as oedema and effusion. The active ingredient is torasemide, a potent loop diuretic that helps reduce fluid buildup by promoting the excretion of excess water and salt through urine. This helps relieve pressure on the heart and lungs, improving the dog’s breathing and overall comfort.

3. Tablet Design The tablets are oblong, white to off-white, and feature three break-lines on each side, allowing them to be divided into equal quarters for precise dosing.

4. Administration UpCard can be given once daily, either with or without food, offering flexibility in administration. The typical dose ranges from 0.1 to 0.6 mg/kg, with most dogs stabilizing at ≤ 0.3 mg/kg per day.

LEGAL INFORMATION: this is a Veterinary Prescription Only Medicine (POM-V), which can only be prescribed by a veterinary surgeon, but another veterinary surgeon or pharmacist may dispense it.
