Fortekor® Flavoured Tablets for Dogs 5mg are used for the treatment of heart failure in dogs and cats. These tablets help reduce blood pressure and the blood volume load on the heart, making it easier for the heart to function efficiently

Key Features

• Active Ingredient: Contains Benazepril hydrochloride, which is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.

• Indications: Used for the treatment of congestive heart failure in dogs and cats.

• Dosage Form: Beige to light brown, ovaloid, divisible tablets scored on both sides, making it easy to split the dose if needed.

• Administration: Can be given with or without food.

• Safety: Well-tolerated in clinical trials with a lower incidence of adverse reactions compared to placebo-treated dogs and cats.

• Precautions: Not recommended for use in pregnant or lactating dogs, or in cases of hypotension, hypovolaemia, hyponatraemia, or acute renal failure.

• Adverse Reactions: Some dogs may experience transient vomiting, incoordination, or signs of fatigue.

LEGAL INFORMATION: this is a Veterinary Prescription Only Medicine (POM-V), which can only be prescribed by a veterinary surgeon, but another veterinary surgeon or pharmacist may dispense it.
