Galastop 50ug/ml Oral Solution

Galastop 50 µg/ml Oral Solution is a veterinary medicine used to treat false pregnancy and suppress lactation in female dogs (bitches). Its active ingredient is cabergoline, a prolactin inhibitor.

Key Features of Galastop

  • Active Ingredient: Cabergoline (50 µg/ml), a dopamine agonist that inhibits prolactin secretion.

  • Primary Use: Treats false pregnancy and suppresses lactation in female dogs (bitches).

  • Mechanism of Action: Reduces prolactin levels, which are responsible for milk production and maternal behaviors.

  • Formulation: Oral solution in a non-aqueous miglyol base; easy to administer.

  • Dosage: Typically 0.1 ml per 1 kg of body weight once daily for 4–6 days (as prescribed by a vet).

LEGAL INFORMATION: this is a Veterinary Prescription Only Medicine (POM-V), which can only be prescribed by a veterinary surgeon, but another veterinary surgeon or pharmacist may dispense it.
