Metacam® 0.5 mg/ml oral suspension for cats and guinea pigs is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which is a type of painkiller used to reduce pain and inflammation.
It can be used in cats for both chronic (long-term) musculoskeletal conditions, such as arthritis, and acute (sudden and short-lived) musculoskeletal disorders, such as an injury.
It can also be used to reduce mild to moderate post-operative pain and inflammation following surgical procedures in cats such as soft tissue surgery in cats and guinea pigs and orthopaedic surgery in cats.
Metacam® 0.5 mg/ml oral suspension for cats and guinea pigs is available in 3 bottle sizes to suit all pet sizes and treatment lengths: 3 ml, 15 ml and 30 ml. Metacam® 0.5 mg/ml oral suspension for cats and guinea pigs helps to improve the quality and enjoyment of life for pets with arthritis and is the UK’s No.1 medication for pain and inflammation in cats and guinea pigs.

Do not use Metacam in kittens younger than 6 weeks old.
Do not use in pregnant or lactating cats, or cats with gastrointestinal, liver, kidney or cardiac disorders.
Metacam oral suspension for cats contains the active ingredient meloxicam (0.5 mg/ml).
If any adverse reactions occur, stop treatment and contact your vet for advice.
