Cardalis® Chewable Tablets for Dogs 2.5mg/20mg
Cardalis® 2.5mg/20mg is a prescription‑only medication used to treat congestive heart failure (CHF) in dogs caused by chronic degenerative valvular disease (CDVD). This lower‑strength tablet is specifically designed for small dogs, providing accurate dosing while reducing the number of tablets needed daily. Each chewable tablet contains:
-
Benazepril hydrochloride (2.5mg) – an ACE inhibitor that helps lower blood pressure, reduce strain on the heart, and limit progression of heart disease.
-
Spironolactone (20mg) – a potassium‑sparing diuretic that helps remove excess fluid while protecting the heart from aldosterone‑related damage.
These two active ingredients work together to improve cardiac function, reduce fluid buildup, and support long‑term management of heart failure symptoms.
Key Benefits
-
Dual‑action formula combines an ACE inhibitor and spironolactone for comprehensive heart support
-
Reduces tablet burden by providing both medications in a single chewable dose
-
Palatable, chewable tablets for easier daily administration
-
Scored tablets allow flexible and accurate dosing for small dogs
-
Designed for small‑breed dogs, as prescribed by a veterinarian
